  • PLAYSTUDIOS JOINS INTERNATIONAL RELIEF EFFORT TO FEED UKRAINE FAMILIES

Players of PLAYSTUDIOS apps can exchange loyalty points for monetary donations to World Central Kitchen

LAS VEGAS – In response to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine, PLAYSTUDIOS is making it possible for myVIP players around the world to exchange their loyalty points, earned during free gameplay, for monetary donations that will support the nonprofit World Central Kitchen (WCK). This first-to-the-frontlines organization is helping to feed people fleeing Ukraine as well as those who have remained behind.

myVIP players can exchange loyalty points in the Rewards Store for $1, $5, and $10 donations to WCK, and PLAYSTUDIOS will commit up to $50,000 to the organization. The company will also be sharing additional ways for its community to show their support.

“A crisis such as the one that we are seeing reminds us just how interconnected our world is,” explains PLAYSTUDIOS Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer Andrew Pascal. “It’s imperative that those who can make a difference in this time of crisis do so, and that’s why we’re offering this opportunity to participate in the Ukrainian humanitarian relief effort.

“Our players have shown us that they want to make a difference in our world. We’ve already seen so many step up to the plate, and with their support we can do something to help families that, through no fault of their own, are being forced to flee the horrors of war.”

Founded by Chef José Andrés, WCK directs 94 percent of every donor dollar to feeding people during times of crisis. The organization has already established kitchens at eight pedestrian crossings along the border to Ukraine and will continue to expand their efforts as additional donations comes in. For extraordinary, real-time updates, follow on Twitter @chefjoseandres and @natemook, the CEO of World Central Kitchen.

PLAYSTUDIOS will host the WCK campaign on its free-to-play mobile apps – myVEGAS Bingo, myVEGAS Slots, POP! Slots, myVEGAS Blackjack, my KONAMI Slots, and MGM Slots Live. All apps are available to download free on iOSAndroid, and Kindle.
